Many people think that sitting on the High Seat and being a Seer or Oracle is Seidr because one goes into an altered state. Simply getting into the altered state is only the first step. It's what you do in that state that is the Art of Seidhr. You are trying to equate opening the door, sitting in the seat, perhaps even turning the key to start
