Kanami--your kindness and aversion to cruelty--and Kanami keeps everything to herself. She wants to be good at things (like cooking, wants Kazuma's approval. haha!) and you sid you liked romance novels. Kanami seems very much a romantic (though, obviously, as she's a child, not in a sexual sense)--and the empathy was a huge 'duh', if there's one character who seems to understand everyone, it's Kanami.
