(no subject)

Name: Katie
Nickname: Well...none, really.
Age: 20

Likes: stir-fry, computers, anime, writing, snow, culture, history (end encompassing subjects--war, weapons, ect), my ragged old sweater shirt, franz ferdinand (the band), rugby, soccer, acting (but I have miserable stage-fright...so I never really get to do it because I get so worked up and freaked out; it cripples me)

Dislikes: when people don't use their goddamn turn signals, mushrooms, cowards, really hot weather, feeling trapped, crowds, when directors on manga to anime fuck it up so bad you're wondering if it's really the same series, taking orders, going to the doctor or dentist, mathmatics

Hobbies:working on computers (or screwing them up spectacularly), sketching, learning cool stuff (weapons, culture, tactics), video games, music

Talents: uh....either compeltely fixing or utterly screwing up a computer, wanting to start a collection of some kind and never doing it, don't have to take notes in class if I pay attention

Goals: Haha. That's an easy one. Freedom. I wanna get rid of all the ties and obligations that make me feel trapped and just travel the world, do what I want

What do you feel is your best quality? Why?:....that however, is a harder question...um. I'm loyal. I think friendships or bonds that you might purposely create with another person demand it and it's shitty to back out on it. Loyalty, being tough-minded--important qualities that make a decent person--that's what I value so I try to accomplish that.

Your worst? Why?: I'm insecure and overly-serious at times. The world is a mean place and sometimes you end up with vulnerabilities. You hate them but you can't seem to fix them and that helpless feeling only makes it worse.

What's your favorite quote? Why?: Well, I know a lot of fun quotes and I'm not going to pretend to be inspirational--because I'll be the first one to walk out of a 'motivational' meeting, because I think they're bullshit. So...

There are certain moments in person's life where they forget that they could simply obliterate the offensive person in front of them and settle for the tried-and-true, yet formidable, bitchslap.

Why do I like it? Because it's true. You could have a gun--someone says the wrong thing--you don't shoot them in the head, you bitchslap 'em first. For some reason, it seems more personal. Hahaha!

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Why?: Sometimes, I can be the very worst to the people who try to be the kindest to me. I wish I didn't do that.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Why?: Either get rid of the global warming problem or extuigish ticks from the face of the Earth. Why? Because lofty aspirations like 'world peace' or 'everyone getting along' is impossible. Whoever made us gave us brains with the intent to use them. People have the right to choose how they think, even you think they're a complete retard.

Why do you like the anime/manga s-CRY-ed: The thing that drew me in about s.CRY.ed were the characters. I only got to see the anime and read a little of the manga (lack of money will do that to you), but the characters are so full of personality and charge that you can't help but be drawn in. Each has their own dynamic perks and faults--each facinating in their own sense.

Who is your favourite character? Why? (You won't be judged on this): Oh, tough one, cause like I said above, the characters are what drew me in. I loved Kazuma. Totally identified with him--taking on responsibility and wanting to help his own and the bitterness towards something much bigger that threatens to stomp on him.

But, I also liked Ryuhou, for his strength and pride. He may have been an asshole but when he believed in something, he went all the way. He was no coward but had trouble communicating his intentions and feelings to others and I can identify with that too.

Kimishima--because everyone needs a loyal, gun-toting, connection-having friend who, while on the outside it may appear as if you're only surface friends...the connection runs way deeper then that. I've always wanted a friend like him, even if he is silly--he's all the more awesome.

Courgar. And my God, do I really need to say why? How could you not love that crazy fucker. He wins.

Now, at first I hated Tachibana because he was a prissy little suck-up but I did admire his character development.

Who is your least favourite character? Why?: Now. I reiterate, I only saw the anime--I heard they're pretty different in the manga. Mimori was the biggest Mary Sue on the face of the planet and I thought, at the beginning, Scheris was an obnoxious, obsessive little tart (she became more tolerable later, but still).

What's your favourite pairing? Why?: Pairing....uh....well, Mimori certainly did NOT deserve Cougar. I think it's way more interesting watching RYuhou and Kazuma develop as friends. So I guess, Kimishima and Ayase.

What's your least favourite pairing? Why?: Mimori and Ryuhou

If you got to choose a character in the show to be for 24 hours, who would it be? Why?: Either Kazuma or Kimishima because they're the two I identify with the most--

Kazuma: I would want to experience the thrill and adrenaline of the fights he had, have his perserverence, bounce back and rebel against The Man and every crappy thing He stands for and willing to do it himself if he has to. I want to do that.

and if not Kazuma then,

Kimishima: Because then I could be close to someone like Kazuma--who was just as loyal to Kimishima as Kimishima was to him. And even though Kimishima had no alter, he still fought just as bravely and just as hard and was Kazuma's right hand guy when he needed a lift.
