So I went and saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part I) last night.
I thought it was brilliant. I really, really enjoyed it. The only thing I didn't like about it was knowing that it would end on a big ol' cliffhanger (which it did). It was gorgeously filmed, and funny, and heartbreaking, and exciting, and a bit frightening all at once.
Honestly, I can't remember the Deathly Hallows book very well. Though I vaguely know what happens in it, I can't remember too many details...but I think the movie is pretty faithful (the only big thing that's different from the book is that Wormtail doesn't kill himself in the Malfoy's dungeon, for some reason).
Jamie Campbell Bower is in it! I have no idea why I find him so attractive. He looks like a girl...but in a good way, I think (for those of you who don't know what role he plays, he's the young Grindelwald). Also, this is going to sound really strange, but: for some reason, I found the guy who plays the creepy Snatcher (according to my friend Laura, his name is Scabior) to be really sexy...he's the one that was always sniffing Hermione. I thought he was really weirdly attractive. BUT ANYWAY.
I'm sad that I have to wait 8 months for Part 2. That's practically a pregnancy! Too far away. But it'll be worth it. I love Harry Potter so much. I miss it when it isn't around. My feelings about Part 2 are really mixed...I want it to come, but I don't want it all to end, either.
PS what's with the sex scene between Harry and Hermione (when Ron is trying to kill the locket horcrux)? I'm pretty sure the book said they were making out, not having sex. In the movie, they were definitely having sex. Actually, this movie had a lot of weird Harry/Hermione stuff in it...when I was first reading the books, I shipped Harry/Hermione, but now I think that pairing is pretty weird, Hermione should be with Ron, Harry with Ginny, in my opinion.
PS 2 I WANT MY LUPIN/TONKS GOODNESS T_T THEY CUT IT OUT OF PART I.
