On September 11, the opportunity arrived for the assault on liberty. Immediately, the most basic civil liberties were egregiously attacked. Freedom from unwarranted searches and seizures, rights to privacy and freedom of dissent were wiped clean six weeks later when the USA Patriot Act sailed through a Congress under the siege of anthrax attacks. the greatest threat to democracy is the uneducated voter.
