I'm thinking of plunking down some money. Do any of you gamers out there have an opinion on Rock band 2 VS Guitar Hero World Tour for the Wii
( Read more... )
I'm not sure what downloadable content is like for the Wii. If it's anything like the XBOX360, I'd recommend Rock Band 2 in a heartbeat.
Honestly I think that when Activision snagged Guitar Hero from Harmonix, they smeared GH3 with an unnecessary coat of macho paint, and the game became more about who was the better shredder than co-op play.
I also submit that Activision does not know music like the RB guys do. GH3 has a crazy difficulty spike where some songs seem waaay harder than they actually sound (cough-cough-SLIPKNOT-cough-cough).
But that's just my opinion. From your email, it sounds like you're already off buying one game or the other. I'd look forward to trying out GHWT, if only to see the Tool songs that replicate their creepy-time videos.

So it will be GHWT tomorrow, but I'll probably grab Rock Band 2 game at some point.
From what I read people liked the hardware better in GHWT, but people liked Rock Band 2 software better. So hopefully it'll work out for me.
Anyways we'll be drunk so hopefully we won't care too much. ;)-
