MERF was the first time I ever performed, anywhere. I instantly caught the acting bug, and it's something I intend to pursue again in the future.

It was the first time I had ever picked up a sword. They then taught me how to use it; a life long dream of mine. This encouraged me to continue in the studies of Martial Arts, leading me to my Kosho Ryu and Escrima studies.

While we'd met before through a mutual acquaintance, it's where I got to know, and fell in love with shinji_katawane.. Fell in love with her twice in fact (long story, those that know us, know what I'm talking about ( ... )

Despite all that may have been sour about leaving that show, it was one of the best things I ever did. I would not, could not be where I am today with MERF. There would have been no Autumn Tree Productions, no Good, Bad, and Ugly, no Great Unwashed. I was able to stretch my creative wings there, meet great people, and form relationships that I hope last me for life. I don't for a minute regret my time there and I hope they can turn things around and present a stronger show in 2006.

I'm right there with everyone. Though times weren't always sunny (literally or figuratively), MERF was a huge part of my development as a person and as a performer and director. Finding the faire was like finding my family... ok, a big, weird, incestuous family, but a family nonetheless! Hey, I may actually attempt to return in 06. We'll see in which Eris nudges, or perhaps flings me.
