Sleeping in your arms,
Feels different than when I sleep alone,
Sleep seems heavier,
As if we are holding something dense and tangible,
Between us,
And though I may wake up sporadically,
I feel sweetly rested entangled in your warmth,
Each time,
While outside,
Meteors hurtle towards the earth,
Unseen,
Through a cloudy twilight sky,
Pulled nearer and nearer by gravity,
Unable to be swayed even by temptation,
As they move with the tides,
And their endless journey through the bleakest of eternities,
Comes
to
an
end
.
