So as chewsual, when she comes back from a rabbity show, she's all full of good intenshuns. Hopparantly we are not supposed to have a bowl - we are supposed to have hay hidden in toilet roll middles etc. so we have to FORAGE for our fuds. Also, we are not supposed to eat muesli with squashed peas, we are supposed to only eat pellets and hay. Well ( Read more... )

I agrees! I noms mah Mr Johnson's but I hates the pellets. I does nom lots of hays though.

Why do they put pellets in Mr Johnsons? Are they being sponsored to fill up landfill sites? Bleugh!

I used to have real problems with hay and would not eat it. I wonder if the buns that eat most hay are those that are confined to hutches and eat it out of boredom? B will not cover the floor in hay, and as I only go in my "cage" for a drink I rarely come into contact with it. B puts a pile at one end of my litter tray and waits for me to eat some in my active spell (around 10pm) before giving me any Mr J's. I am picky about hay but there are certain plants that I really like as hay, and interestingly some that I will eat as hay but not fresh. More on this coming in my series of hay posts.

Our Mummy tired to make us forage for our nums once - didn't werk !

We now each have a bowl with "Rabbit" on it for our mix - 'nuff said !

The most enjoyable foraging is to be naughty (nibble curtains, try to get at forbidden wires, etc) then the two-foots put you out on the lawn and the noms find you.

I LURVE my pellets (Science Selective), I LURVE my hay and eat ALOT of it (but did take a while to find one I liked).

In fact I just lurve food!

I didn't like science selective. I did like another pellet but it was only for junior rabbits and Granny K moaned when I was fed it (she thinks it stunted me!). My gripe is mainly with Mr J's. Hay I will eat, if it is stuck under my nose or hand fed, and if it is the right type of plant.
