So I've been realizing that I've been really behind on LJ and checking my f-list very sporadically. Plus I rarely post now, but tbh there isn't much worth posting. I'm still around, though I just haven't kept myself updated very well

but enough about me. I hope things start to pick up soon in your life, it sounds like you're in a rut and that's never good. I mentioned this on the meme I think but if you have any insights about teaching in korea that you'd be willing to pass on I'd love to listen! I'm slowly realizing I won't get a job or into grad school out of college and I'm pursuing all my options even if I don't feel all that enthusiastic about them now :\ but yeah I hope things get better :(

are hagwons sketchy? I heard there was some system of teaching english in korea that was sketchy but I can't remember which one ;;
I haven't been online in a long time only because I've been in germany and busy with work and traveling and attempting to be social with people I don't really like, but whenever I'm working on fic I'm online and I'll probably be more online once I get home in january :3

Hagwons can be sketchy; it depends. As long as you're careful with your research and choose a reputable one, not one that was just recently created, you should be fine.
Okay! :3

If you're mostly chillin' lately, have you considered looking into some kind of volunteering or tutoring (or both) to a. kill time and b. (in the case of the latter) make moneys? Although you still don't drive, right? so that could cramp your style.

Well my chilling will come to an end pretty soon, since I'm supposed to take classes next semester. Which will probably drive me just as crazy, because I barely remember what it's like to be in school anymore. And I actually got two requests for tutoring, though I'll have to see if they work out considering I'll need to take classes soon.

Oh right, you're doin' classes. Are you going to be doing them at Rutgers? Yeah, it'll be irritating to have to sit still and listen to lecturers go on and on (I'm heartily sick of taking classes at this point - though I'm pretty much done for the near future at least), but having the structure and defined goals can be comforting, too.
That's excellent that you have tutoring requests! You can always dictate the schedule and limit it to a few hours a week... depends on how many classes you'll have to be taking, I guess.
