I was talking to a friend at quantum about my worries about getting hit in the head, and he quoted fight club: "It turns down the volume on your life." He clearly meant this as a good thing, because all his examples were things that would otherwise really annoy him but now don't. And I can easily see how that would happen and be a good thing.
I can also easily see why you miss the world being technicolor. But I can't figure out how those two things fit together.

I think I get where you're coming from. (Maybe.) But his description sounds more like someone letting go, approaching zen, whereas hypomania is more along the lines of a drug. I don't know if getting hit in the head (or letting go of that fear) feels like a high or not; I've never remotely approached a zen state.

oh wow I'm jealous, I haven't gone clubbing in a long time T_T No friends in Phoenix to go out with really. I'm glad you went out and enjoyed yourself though and yes, being normal is boring, that's why we're both crazy in one way or another =P
