Still in Maryland for the month, I spent yesterday from 9 am to 9 pm with my friends Ashley and her husband Paul on a trip to DC, for the Zoo and the Smithsonian Natural History museum. The paper metro cards have magnetic strips, I've screwed one up before putting it next to a cell phone.

I've always really wanted to sneak a plaque onto one of the exhibits of taxidermy animals that says "previously on display at the national zoo".

Mine was next to my phone, but got screwed up by rainwater and then worked on the very last ride after drying out....theirs got screwed up just being in wallets rubbing against plastic cards!

That would be hilarious.

I've certainly wished I could sneak about a million things OUT. I don't know why the gift shops don't sell little replicas of some of the prehistoric models and stuff. Instead they sell mostly the same knick knacks you can find in any toy store.

Seriously. They've ALREADY got the molds for the models, why the hell wouldn't they make some for you to take home?
