7 years.

That's how long I will have had this journal for. 7 years of rambling on about everything and nothing all in the same time. It's kinda scary (creepy?) to think that if I dropped dead right now, somebody could read about my entire life in Japan (all 5 years of it) right here.

Though I find that friends are posting less and less these days

Fuck that. You know you're a good teacher. I've seen some of your lesson plans; they're some of the most creative lessons I've seen in a while. It's really hard for me to get a grasp of ... anything ... the first time I teach a class. All I can really do is just try to be gentle with myself and underwhelm myself with what I think I should be teaching in it.
