Before apostle Paul discussed how important it is to be transparent, hold one another accountable and be proactive in our walk --
Jesus wanted it for us too.
He came here and lived among us, He encountered our same struggles and knows how necessary it is that we be honest and admit that in order to get through good and bad times we can't do it on our own. And He never intended for us to.
Something else I've read puts 'our place' in a different light:
God does not comfort us to make us comfortable, but to make us comforters.

These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.
John 15:11-17
Think of all the beauty, hope and wonder that is proposed here -- this is what God wants for us. Even though we are inadequate, our faith and His grace negates our inadequacy. So let's seek God, step outside of our inhibitions and insecurities to experience and live the potential Jesus knows is within. Today when you're at church feeling all the joy and awesomeness of worship, wisdom and fellowship -- hold on to that feeling throughout the week, don't let it end there because in all reality it's only the beginning!
