Very clever story and cool prompt! I liked the internal conversation with Marek and Daniel--glad he seemed to be part of the "Selmak" side of Egeria's family in his sense of humor.

Oh, I loved this! It's such a great scenario that the Stargate universe leaves open to us, and you filled it in a way that was realistic (uh, in a Stargate-way ;-)), sweet, and overall quite charming. Great job!
