Oh, what a fitting title for this fic. At first I was seeing foreshadowing of Meridian--I enjoyed their emotional connection in the flashbacks.

And then the twist...with only half-remembered memories by Sam at the end. Well put together and what an emotion grabber! Aw, sniff.
