The Dread Dream of Doom! ...and Dolphins
I've been having a lot of weird dreams lately, I think it's got something to do with increasing the dose of my correct-sleep-pattern-aiding medication. This is last night's weirdness, as much as I remember it, with an attempt at using a dream-interpretation book at the end, because that's always fun.

The dream in short:
Dolphins were walking upright on land, in some sort of a building, with beach towels neatly folded in drawers. I think they were evil. Then there were buses travelling through a city at night, with kids on board. When they got off the bus, one of them hung behind and met a dolphin sitting on the kerb. This turned out to be a not-evil dolphin, who befriended the kid.
I forget how, but this dolphin ended up captured by the evil dolphins in the building with the beach towels. Meanwhile, the humans had worked out that the dolphins were evil and the kids from the buses had formed a crack strike force and stormed the building, spraying the dolphins with paint, which killed them. Sadly no-one recognised not-evil dolphin and it got spray-painted too and died a tragic death.
A short time later, back on the night-time buses, the kids are celebrating their victory when the not-evil-dolphin-friend-kid from earlier suddenly realises they must've killed the not-evil dolphin too! (the idiots). The bus stops suddenly. Everyone gets out and sees, in exactly the same place as not-evil dolphin appeared earlier, the decapitated head of tom hanks lying next to the kerb.. no one understands this.

Interpretation, and I'm quoting from the book here:
Dolphin: To dream of a dolphin indicates your liability to come under a new government. It is not a good dream.
Bus: To dream of riding on a bus, means that you are making slow and halting progress in your aims and goals.
Night: if you are surrounded by night in your dreams, you may expect unusual oppression and hardships in business.
Street: to dream that you are walking in a street, foretells ill luck and worries. You will almost despair of reaching the goal you have set up in your aspirations.
Dead Actor: your good luck will be overwhelmed in violent and insubordinate misery.
Lol 'insubordinate misery'? what's that? I hardly dare look up decapitated head..
Severed Head: To see a head severed from its trunk, and bloody, you will meet sickening disappointments, and experience the overthrow of your dearest hopes and anticipations.
Oh bloody hell, give me a break! Actually the head wasn't bloody so maybe this one doesn't count. Now paint, that's got to be harmless. Ok so no it isn't but I'm not typing that out as well.
City: To dream that you are in a strange city, denotes a sorrowful occasion to change your abode or mode of living.
Right that's it, I'm putting the book away now. Wait...
Idiots: To see idiotic children denotes affliction and unhappy changes.
Battle: signifies striving with difficulties, but a final victory over the same.
Finally something good! It's a good thing I don't believe in all this stuff. Otherwise I'd be really screwed *rofl* But, you know, maybe I will go and read those science papers I've been putting off, just in case my aspirations of a PhD are in jeopardy.
