Fresh grads in office....

There is this bunch of new freshers/just out of college kids(ya, i call them kids because i feel very old already ;)) in office. I tell you, how much i envy their enthusiasm, energy and excitement!!! They are almost 30 in number and they are scattered in groups everywhere, chit chatting in lobby, in cafeteria, near their cubicles n almost

Eggjactly.. Even I was working with the same zeal an year ago.. And now, I feel like I have been in this industry for 10 years already.. :D Its only some more time, and these guys will come to normal - just like u and me.. :D

The sad part is that the unity among them dies down too as they would split up into smaller groups over time..

As for the retaining stuffs, I wonder if most of them will realise after years. I hope they realise the truth sooner about software industry in months like me :P

Dont you think you can write a book on lines of chethan bhagat, who simp simply made money writing a book - night in the call center something.

you can title your book - "Life of a Software Engineer", with the tag that because the "World and the kids must know the reality". I'm sure it would be a best seller and will save career of most unfortunate kids unlike us :D

It's the same excitement that we all had when we got our first job. Good post there, Reminds me of my fresher days too.

Everything was so new, I remember once staying back in the office late night just to attend a conf call **(even though i was not required)** just for the sake to know what happens in a conf call.

I was then warned my seniors its no big deal and asked me to catch some good sleep at home. Today yes indeed its no big deal. I missed a good night sleep for one day in all that excitement.
