Its my new maid in new house. Its just a week and daily she has one or the other thing to ask at the end of the work. She was selected among many prospective applicants only bcoz she looked very innocent, silent n a lil dumb types actually ;) Also special consideration was given bcoz she was a kannadiga, it gets really tough to communicate ( Read more... )

I have neve rhad maids here in blore, bcos I cant manage one on my own. I have seen my mom manage maids, and I used to think she was very strict. I dont think I can be like that, I am sure I will end up like you !

Tell me about being strict!! I end up doing most of the stuff myself instead of asking them to do! And i see when my MIL or Mom is at home, they extract so much work from this maid, i really cant do that..

You are just like my cousin but if you try to be nice to everyone, you will end up hurting the one person that matters most - Yourself...Someone once said 'talk softly but carry a big stick'

I could suggest some ideas to make your point indirectly.

1) the next time your maid asks for something, just drop anything that you have onto floor or table with a loud thud, look into her eyes and just walk away.

2) pretend to talk to your imaginary friend on the phone within earshot distance from your maid and tell her how disgusted you are about the maids beings greedy and tell her loudly that if she has maid like that, you will surely fire her.

i hope you are good actress, if it were me i would just confront her & give her a warning.
