I'm hauling vampiric lumber, with which to smite the lord in his castle. This is super cool; like any good speculative fiction, it mirrors the current world. What strikes me are the parallels between the essentially undying thanocracy under which the world are now living in financial subservience, and your vampire necrocracy.

Holy crap. I did not see that at all, but it makes perfect sense. I was just working off of the Romantic view of the aristocracy as a parasitic creature bleeding the common man.
