You know, if you can ever swing it financially/vacationwise/etc., you might consider taking mckitterick's summer writing workshop. It's marketed as SF, but they do all genres. I think the KU short fiction workshop has a better publishing record than Clarion. Can't state that for an absolute fact, but if it's not better, it's at least as good.

I've considered it for years, but the vacation and financial side of things is tricky. I'd love to be able to do it, though, even as a commuter.

I'm not sure that Misfit survived the first decade of the century, which is a shame. It was a nice looking, well-curated collection.
