Cannot parse second-to-last sentence. Are you saying you have a bad attitude?

I do9n't think I have a bad attitude as much as I've got an evil eye. I've got this unconscious glare that seems to stop people in their tracks. Weird.

And, when it comes to the GDB, I'm filled with hope and bubbly light. I've gotten a great deal of support from absolute strangers and it seems that the problem is less the GDB and more its overall size. I'm examining how to pad the thing to about three times its current length. Don't know if it's justified, don't know if it's ideal but I know it'll make it a touch more marketable.

It's just the rest of life that's vexed me and filled me with woe. The book, though? That's solid.

If I may make a suggestion as to your KickStarter project -- you might consider making the rewards a little more meaningful and less "I don't actually believe this shit will work," especially when you get to the $100 or more range.

Also, you may wish to consider submitting the book to Chiascuro (http://chizinepub.com/).

Two notes:

1) Chiascuro's not interested in the book as it currently stands. It's too short for them. I'd not be averse to it if the book beefed up a bit, but it's currently out of their range. I checked them early on, as they've got a really nice slate of authors and I'm sure that I'll toss them something down the line, when I'm in the 60k-100k range. As it stands now, though... "Zobop Bebop" isn't their guy.
2) Truth be told, my rewards are what I can offer... can't promise much more than a book, a good meal and good company, and the high-end rewards (Unlikely? Extremely) will basically pay the cost of me coming to wherever and providing food and good company for a while. It's as rewarding to me (if not more so) than it will be for the recipient, as I would enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and have an instant conversation-starter.

Then maybe change the tone? I dunno. It just reads silly.

I can see that. That being said, the Kickstarter audience is a pretty silly bunch of motherfuckers.

WHOM I LOVE, RESPECT AND TREASURE LIKE A SUNNY DAY.

We'll see. There's a very real possibility that I'll be deKicking it soon.

That is correct, and that's a point in its favor. It's my hope that I'll be sending my backers an e-mail saying "Choke on your goddamned money! I'm a star, bitches!" and folding the thing with no one left in the lurch. We shall see.
