Though I hear it was predictable. I've always liked Melissa Leo dating back to her days on the Homicide TV show, so good for her. And congratulations to all the winners

One thing I like about The Mentalist and Lie To Me is that they really play up the drama of rooting out people's deep dark secrets to the point where the ostensible main crime plot becomes the B storyline; the big name guest star (such as they have them) has an even chance to be the cause of the biggest, saddest backstory instead of the doer-in of the current victim.

The only one of those shows (including mr Whedon's ones) I voluntarily watch of those you refer to, is House.
