Which I guess is nice, if you've never had the chance to play it, but I have, several times, and I don't really need to again. I think I'm mainly just upset at the reaction by some like this is the second fucking coming.
1. Retranslation. 2. CT never made it to Europe, so a portion of the excitement is coming from Europeans, who are just thrilled that they are getting an official version of the game. Some have played the ROM, but some missed out on the game entirely. At least, this is what I have gathered from various internet forums.
I can totally understand why you feel underwhelmed though. I'm not exactly dancing in the street myself, but I am excited about the (potential) retranslation and the fact that more people will be able to enjoy the game.
At least it isn't the 546th reiteration of FF1/2/4.
Agreed, and a retranslation would be nice, but I can't imagine too many things were left out of CT. It's nice if you've never played the game, but a lot of the "OMGWTFBBQWAFFLES" stuff is coming out of people who have, and I just can't understand that.

On Virtual Console, XBLA, or PSN, it'd just be another console release. This is the first handheld release.
