Politics:

Disfavor for Bush hits new heights. You know it's bad when they no longer talk about your approval rating dipping and they instead have to invert their descriptors for you.

Congratulations, America! We are now behind India in having a female leader. Bravo, well done! And heartfelt congratulations to Pratibha Patil.

I think people forget that there's actually a Pontifical Academy of Science. So the Church doesn't have the greatest track record on science, but um....points for trying now?

America really does need to join the club of countries with female leaders. I just don't know how we're going to do it when female politicians are subjected to so much nonsense about their wardrobe and their hairstyle.

...actually, men get that too. When did haircuts become an important political discussion. Bah.

I have to say, though, I'd love to see a female leader, but I'm still not totally convinced that Hillary is that leader.

I'm okay with the Church. It's the Pope who gives me the heebeejeebees, especially with how he does not play nicely with others. ;)

It's completely legit to feel that Hillary Clinton is not a good candidate, but only if it's because of her policy and such, not because of her chromosomes. I'm still seeing polls asking whether a woman can govern America, and people who discount her just because she is female are the ones who bother me.

They're just jealous that Edwards has such pretteh hair.

The Pope does bear an unfortunate resemblence to Emperor Palpatine and the poor man just does not photograph well. He has a surprisingly mild voice, though. I was expecting him to sound a lot harsher.

Yeah, that seriously bugs. Women are perfectly capable of overcoming our hormonal whatever misogynists think we have and bucking up and dealing with the real world. I think Hillary is the most qualified front runner (and I'll definitely vote for her over Obama or Edwards), but I don't get people who either support her or don't support her solely based on gender.

Lol, well, clearly. Everyone is jealous of Edwards' pretteh.
