Things it could be:

1. you're dating a military man who are stereo typical on being emotionally schizo.

2. The "smothering" part he was telling Christy could have just been the "Typical male" BS. Outside a relationship, MEN like to act that they're not all sweet in the relationship.

3. Rebound from Sean. You're so used to being in a relationship that you blindly want to be in a relationship (no matter who it is).

4. I'm a committment-phobic idiot what do I know.
