This year I got to vid John Carter which made me SO HAPPY and I wish I could have made FIVE vids because I love this movie so much. My biggest regret is that I did not get a chance to introduce you all to Dejah Thoris, space princess/scientist. Actual thing that actually happens in the movie:
John Carter: Stand behind me, this might get dangerous.
[John fights the Zodangans. When he loses his sword, Dejah takes it and kills the remaining enemies]
John Carter: Or maybe I ought to get behind you...
Dejah Thoris: [Cleans the blood off the sword with John's clothes] You let me know when it gets dangerous.
I MEAN COME ON NOW. Go check her out, you would LOVE HER, fandom.
Anyway, I was super excited to get to vid this and life just conspired so I had to pick my most focused idea, which was John & his adorably ugly Martian alien dog, Woola. I love Woola. I love all these characters. Honestly this movie is SO MUCH FUN and it has a Martian road trip and James Purefoy basically making his own heist movie in the background and I am sad that fandom never seemed to click with this movie so HOPEFULLY you guys will be intrigued enough by this vid (or at least my flailing here) to give it a try! It's worth two hours of your time! And I still have the source on my machine and the intention to make a larger, more pimping-type vid, so hopefully Vividcon. And someday I will remember that as much as I love Festivids, the months during which are scheduled for vidding are by far the busiest months of my entire year. Heh.
