I've done it. I've gotten myself one of those LiveJournal thingies.

Talk about stating the obvious.

I've no idea what this will turn in to, mainly it's just another thing to occupy my time with. Maybe I'll meet new people, and maybe no-one will ever read this but me. And I may not even read it, hell - I know what I've typed before it even appears

Ooh, my first reply - I little worrying, I didn't realise it was actually public. I thought there was something I had to do to activate it and I hadn't found it yet, but I guess not ;) Time to actually sit down and read about how to use this site properly...

The reason you can't get an office job with no experience is because you're too old and they'd have to pay you too much for someone who's starting from scratch... you oap you :P

I hadn't thought of that, I suppose it makes sense. I would have been happy with minimum wage though - does straight from school mean 16 then? A couple of companies told me about the "straight from school" thing, but I assumed it to mean 18. Silly me.

What made it worse was one rejection letter that had 4 spelling mistakes (and I don't mean my address) and was just badly worded in general. I'd made me want to write back and either tell them that they obviously did need me or that I would be embarrassed to work for them. Not sure which.

Yeah it's 16 - so they don't even have to pay minimum wage! Some companies just suck... :P
