Grrr...latest update is that what looks like not much is $2400 worth of damage, which might just be 75% of the car's value-which would mean totalled.  That amount would not get us a decent, safe car, nor do we want a car payment since we live pretty tight now.  It's not like I love this minivan, I actually rather have a bad attitude towards it,

I just went through this. No fun. My car was so close to being paid off. :(
I hope you can find something else or fix this one with the money you get.
