Nothing like being 1 hr from departing for vacation and getting hit by a teenager. It was more frightening and flashback triggering than damaging. The Duwamish Tribe is inviting Seattle to a Salmon Bake this 4th of July weekend. It will be fun, but also in the spirit of the holiday. The Duwamish Tribe is seeking the political self-determination federally recognized tribes enjoy. Federal recognition would place the Tribe on equal footing with other Northwest Tribes.
