On Sunday night, R. and I rented and watched "The Corpse Bride". It was beautiful -- I think Burton and Elfman outdid themselves. The ending was exquisite

You're welcome, and glad to hear you enjoyed it. I'm not sure what took *me* so long to give it a viewing, except that I tend to be deeply affected by movies (and something bordering on strangely paranoid about starting to watch something if it seems I might not like it), so I am overcautious about seeing anything.
