Stabbing pains woke him up. It felt like his stomach was trying to eat itself with acid and steak knives, except it was too low to be any real stomach sickness.

"Time of the month for what exactly?" Seamus forgot for a moment that he was a girl until he heard his voice again. He ignored it. The pain was easier to understand at the moment. He'd try to wake up later.
A very good nightmare, this. He never felt such blatantly physical pain in his dreams. "What are you talking about, Vati?"
Hermione was lost in her, what was beautiful sleep, when her hazel lit hues abruptly opened to the noises about her. She lightly stretched and yawned as she gently slid her body to rest upon the bed post behind her. Her pale digits twirled through the blanket on her lap as she managed to focus her vision to her surroundings. Parvati and Lavender seemed to be engaged in a conversation, which was the very reason she had awaken. Hermione quietly rubbed her eyes once more and focused them upon Lavender who looked to be in excruciating pain. Hermione's slight frown turned to a concerned expression as she peered at her friend.
"Lavender, what's wrong? Are you alright?"
As she said this she shot Parvati a glance written with question and curiosity not to mention explanation.
Hermione let out a sigh of relief as she found that Lavender's complaints were just a simple thing that all girls unfortunately received at the age of puberty and continued on for the rest of their lives. Until, well they reached menopause, but they were far from that age and state.
"Well have you tried giving her something to perhaps..um well stop the bleeding?"
"I was just going to explain that bit of it to her," Parvati said as she got up and went to her trunk. She opened it and dug through it until she found some tampons. She closed the trunk and walked over to Lavender.
"Here's what you use to stop the bleeding - a tampon."

We assumed there were spells and potions for dealing with this type of thing. I kind of forgot about the tampons *facepalm*

"It's just her time of the month. She seems to have forgotten what a period is. I'm helping her out and explaining things to her."
