I agree that you are creative, but the statement "I am creative" means something different to me than your continuation of that statement.

I am creative, too. To me, this means that at any instant, I can tap a resource that, especially according to my experiences working here in Europe, not everyone has. If I need an idea, image, statement, sound, color, expression, whatever, my brain can almost instantly provide me with something. Upon reflection, I can usually come up with a bunch of ideas, and some of them might actually be worth pursuing. I definitely think you're creative.

In this entry, though, I think you're statement should be reworded.

I like that I create.

To me you're mostly talking about tapping the resource and doing something with it. You're talking about putting ideas into motion. I like the fact that you do that, too. Your creating has had repercussions in my life.

I feel like I'm not creative enough to actually call myself creative. I could be creating so much more! These statements were what made me think ( ... )

Thanks, is all a lot of interesting stuff to ponder.

I think it's interesting to make these distinctions. I think I was kind of talking about all of them.

I like the way you define them, and I agree with you, but before reading what you wrote it was hard for me to make the distinctions myself, so thanks for giving me more to think about.

I do have a reason I chose specifically to say "I am creative." In my life at different times I have had people tell me, "You're so creative," always using that word, and I sort of rejected their statement, because I felt not creative enough to be called creative.

So by saying it here I'm kind of claiming my own power. Or something.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, Anderson.

I agree that creative means more than being artistic. I think being a creative person means you can creatively problem solve.

As an artist I have found solutions by looking at new plans versus trying to force the original down my own throat. Some of things I have thought of seem so obvious to me, but to others it's like a breath of fresh air.
