That's what I think, too. There's always a lot of talk in LL fandom about why Soubi doesn't react to Ritsuka's abuse, mostly centered around the fact that he's desensitized. But I think there's something else in there about how he understands what it means to have abuse as your daily bread. It's tiring having to explain over and over. And Ritsuka gets clearly and visibly upset when anyone tries to interfere. Soubi is going to be able to feel that as his Fighter, and naturally want to mollify him in any way he can

No, Soubi doesn't like sweet stuff from the 7-Eleven. But he loves to smother Ritsuka in it. I'd love him, too! ^_^

Yes, Ritsuka is very honest to himself, which is different from Soubi. At least Ritsuka knows what he's feeling, even if it's occasionally screwed up (e.g. "It's my fault bc I'm not the real Ritsuka"). Soubi doesn't even know what his own wants and needs are. This is even more troublesome.

At times it seemed to Ritsuka that Soubi was merely an extension of himself, just another part of the fabric of his own being, a silent witness to all he went through, without judgment, without opinion.
You've captured such a beautiful sentiment here, and it really made me smile. ♥

And then I was promptly dead of cute. XD

The last line is also especially adorable, and such a perfect way to end it.
