Lovely.

I adore the second scene. It's that passion for religion and ritual that I have, not to mention passion for Hakkai and his incredible personality. You've captured both guys perfectly (I can just hear Gojyo saying all that, then Hakkai replying, and Gojyo capitulating and doing what Hakkai suggests.

Thanks, sweetie! Yeah, I like that dynamic they have of Don't-push-it!Hakkai/irreverant!Gojyo. Like Hakkai's okay with Gojyo doing his thing most of the time... until he's not. I could see that being one area in which Hakkai was not willing to compromise. And as soon as he lets his displeasure be known, their roles suddenly reverse. That's what I love about the 585 dynamic. They're so deliciously switchable. ^_^

Oh, I love them both! I can totally see Hakkai thinking he was doing the right thing and Gojyo just dragging him back. "Oh. Well. That makes sense." Totally cracked me up!

Ancestor worship! You know you made my night with that, especially since I got home from class and lit their candle _before_ I sat down to check fics. Woo-hoo! (I was thinking of his mom, but probably his stepmom, too. Hmmn.)

Well, I'm sure Hakkai can give Gojyo some coaching about how to properly honor his ancestors. He should tell him it would help him win at cards more often. That'd convince him. ^_~
