Both. It's been a dream of mine to get out west, and having an employer that recruited me in that area is what made it possible. Otherwise, I would've waited a few more years and kept saving to do it on a gamble of landing on my feet.

But as much as I do want to be there, I never anticipated that it would happen so soon, or that I'd have to pull everything together to make it happen in such a short timeframe. It'll be fine once I'm there and more settled, I'm sure, but in the meantime the multitude of logistics has me feeling a bit frantic.

You are in Chicago, right? I'm guessing the prospect of a milder climate probably doesn't sound too bad.

Ridiculously busy!!! Feels like I'm on a treadmill set to maximum speed and incline, but I'm trying to remind myself that things will only sustain at this pace a few more weeks and then I'll have the rest of the summer to recover.
