Beer in the winter is really awesome for some reason, and I don't really drink a lot of it. My family only takes wine semi-seriously, so our beer is like, Budweiser and Coors Light (ew). Sierra Nevada Winter Celebration ftw

Any beer with "Celebration" written on the label sounds good to me hah. Newcastle is my standby love, but I am really for the pumpkin and spice enhanced ales, especially in the winter and fall seasons. Tommy Knockers Maple beer is lovely, and right now I'm really into Brooklyn Brown Ale - it says it has hints of coffee or chocolate somewhere in there. I really like a dark beer that finishes a little sweet. I'm all for Guinness too.

Not to be a beer freak, I don't drink that much either, I just came around to it recently in the past year too. My dad is a total wine-o and so it transfers to beer somehow. He just likes trying a lot of different things, so I usually find something interesting in the fridge.
Down with thoughtless generic beers!

My freshman year of college, my roommate and two friends down the hall would bring Newcastle back to our dorms when we knew no one else was around because we didn't want them to attack us like vultures. We'd then lock the door, put a movie on, and drink Newcastle in silence without answering the door.

If you're ever at a bar with a stacked beer selection, look for something by Unibroue, especially La Fin Du Monde. I think you'd really like it if you like beer with a spicier character. They also have apple and cranberry flavored beer that's amazing. Definitely great for the winter. omg so good. I wish I had friends that would want to go to a nice bar just to have a drink of something that actually tastes good instead of just being like, "let's get a 30 pack of Busch Light."

aw, yeah I know what you mean about the busch light more for less thing. Every thursday at school is Pub night with a bunch of friends from classes. It's a very small quaint little place and we know the bartender (who's this really nice english man), always beer on tap and what they have varies over time but that's where I became a loyal Newcastle lover. It's a really nice place to go to really enjoy what you drink. Also they have cider on tap for all my non beer drinking friends ( ... )
