Now I'm the one writing to ask for help for a friend. I know what I'm asking for isn't going to be easy, but I hope someone out there can help. I have become good friends with the piercer out here, and she needs help. She can barely afford diapers and she is DESPERATE for a new bra or two. She is nursing a new baby and I know this size isn't ( Read more... )

I'm STILL working on cleaning out the closets (and 16 bags of clothes have gone to charity so far)... Time consuming it is, but I know I've still got plenty of stuff in the 14 range that is now way too big on me... all the old 32-34 bras were like a C cup, and my 34DDs are starting to wear thin themselves... so no help there, but remind me several times, and give me a few days... does she need anything in particular? I know I've got like dress slacks that are around that size... and probably some summery kind of dresses. Shorts too.... She'd probably swim in any tops/blouses of mine because I've always had to go up sizes because of my linebacker shoulders ( ... )

mine are all 40+ in the band size. She would have to do some sewing. However, we may be able to help in the baby clothes category. Email me at aerinha1 at yahoo dot com with her address and I'll see what we can find out in our storage pile, aka the garage. We have a ton of Emma's old clothes out there.

I'll do that, thank you so much Stace. ANY thing you have at all would be greatly appreciated more than I can say.

You betcha! Been down before, and it's nice to be in a position to help. Heck, we'd have been in deep if not for the church food boxes we got when Emma was first born... tough times are no joke. So yeah, I'll get out there and see what we've got. I know I've got at least one box of baby clothes, and maybe some stuff Mom can wear too.
How old is her baby? Or how big? Seriously, we have TONS of stuff. And we've decided one child is enough (sad, a little, but we just can't justify two) so this stuff needs to go where it's needed.
So yeah, send her address! And if I find one of my older bras, that are 38 in the band, I'll send them too. They'll work better than nothing. My old nursing bra might, too, it's very elastic-y. Just gotta find it.

You know, focusing on helping your friend is really lifting the dark cloud from me right now. Thank you!

You know what - I was thinking the EXACT same thing when your reply came in. Isn't that wonderful and strange? Thank you again, I sent you an email, I can't tell you how very much we appreciate it. I called her today (I'm at Mom's) and said "My friend in California is going to send you some baby clothes, what is your address?" I was stunned when the first thing out of her mouth was "Why?" I said "Because that is what friends do for each other if they can." Thanks again. =)

I will look to see if I have anything too...I just did MAJOR purges of everything at the beginning of the year and two weeks ago...but I will go through again and see IF I have anything I can send her way. I think hubby trashed all the saved baby stuff though to good will....but I will look for you!
I was in her shoes with D...I know what it is like...so I will try my best to find stuff!

Crap. I just gave two pairs of nearly new Old Navy size 11s to my boss' daughter, who doesn't really need them...I have 34 and 36 bras, but only B and C cups:/ I'm no help with baby clothes, but may still have a couple of pairs of size 10 serviceable jeans. I'll dig through the closet, tomorrow- (G is sick, already crashed out, and I don't wanna bug him.) I know I have some large shirts I can send, if nothing else.
