It's kind of neat being up, dressed, and having my coffee at this hour. Not so neat the moment the alarm goes off, but shortly after it's not so bad.

I hear that. I am not a morning person, but getting up at 5:30 means I get so much more accomplished that I prefer to stay in the habit as much as possible. I am definitely not in the habit at the moment, and trying to get back to it asap.

5:30 is my normal wake up time for work, but I've always been something of a morning person (not so much in that I'm happy to be awake but that I wake up without grogginess and seem to quickly be at peak effectiveness).

Hope you enjoy the run.

Yeah, I may try to get into the habit, though probably not quite as extreme. I got up at 5am so I could have plenty of time to take care of anything I forgot the night before and get ready without rushing and getting (more) anxious. I was meeting the friends I was carpooling with no later than 6:15 and wanted to be early, too.
