I emailed a couple of my teachers from high school who had asked me to keep in touch. I don't know why it took me so long to feel up to it. I also emailed my old art teacher, Ms. Young. She was one of my favorite teachers (and people) ever, but when she retired a year ago, I lost touch with her. I found her email address on the county school

I hope you have better luck than I always do... my former teachers seem to have some sort of philosophical problem with keeping in touch. It makes me sad.
