your inner dog and blather

Someone sent me this quiz which I'm sure has been around and around, but I'd never tried it. Gave it a go and seems I am a:

I can't remember if I've already done this one, but I did it anyway. Twice, since some of the answers depended on... The first time I got Hungarian Puli. The second time I got Clumber Spaniel.

I had just replied to your comment at my lj and had asked how your fic was going. Guess I know now! I hope enough people submit so that it ends up not being 'mini'.

LOL! Cats sure can grow extra limbs when they try to avoid being put in those carriers, can't they? I keep saying I'm going to start giving my cats their 'tuna juice' (the water tuna was packed in, which they love) in their carriers so they learn to go in on their own. But right now there is no room to put them down anywhere.

Pine nuts in cookies. Hmm. I don't think I've ever had cookies with them in them.

I'm hoping for a better year too for everyone. This year was just brutal. I can't believe the new year is right around the corner.

Hungarian pulis are cuties. All that hair!

It seems like the zine should have quite a few stories, given that Ursula looks like she'll have around 3 all by herself! I'm glad there's going to be one this year, and in Helen's memory. I miss all of her lovely posts. Sigh.

Tommy knocked me to the floor when he rocketed out of the carrier the first time. Zowie.

Never made cookies with pine nuts either. Saw it on Food Network, lol!

Yup, hard year for so many, you included. I feel quite grateful to have a stable job and reasonably good health, and a wonderful new kitty. On the more trivial side, I wish I had more fannish inspiration to write. Ah, well.

How did I miss that this years zine was in Helen's memory? What a lovely idea. I know last years was dedicated to others who had passed. I recently had been surfing through some past entries of mine and kept coming across comments from her. Sad knowing there will be no more.

Let me know how the cookies turn out. And if they're good...post the recipe!

Kitties are great! I need to get some pics of 'my' new kitty at work and post them! Tigger Tiger is the cutest thing.

My inspiration comes from the oddest things.

Yes, I think AmazonX mentioned on the AK list that she missed Helen and Ursula said we'd make it "Helen's zine". So, I really do hope we manage to put together something nice, in her memory and for other fans who have passed.

I'll let you know about the cookies; if you hear nothing, then they bombed. :)

Post those pictures. I'd love to see Tigger Tiger!

From all my years in fandom(s), I've learned that the 'strangest' sources of inspiration usually turn into the best stories. Go, girl!

Hey, that little fella looks like a sheltie (I had two of them in the last 20 years) and they are just sweet and lovely with kids and family.

Good to know that AK is still alive as it looked to me as most of the people adoring him in the past moved on to other fandoms due to the lack of new stories and stuff. I can´t complain with the Pros - we are now having our annual advent calendar where everyone posts pros-y stuff till January, 6th and it´s like it´s already X Mas - so many goodies this month :-).

:::hugs:::

B! I'm glad that Pros is going so strong. I remember those "Advent calendars"--when they did them before the 'Net. Wow, by snailmail. I think some Brit fan put them together like a zine and sent it out. Sounds a LOT easier now, lol!

If I wasn't such a 'cat person' I'd be tempted to get a dog like that sheltie, not too big and cute as a button.

Happy holidays!

Hee! I got an English Cocker Spaniel.

I'm still working on my fic, too. I have two plotbunnies, but if I just finish one story in time, I'll be happy. :D

Those cookies sound YUMMY.

Go, go, go on that story, LID! I love your writing. My mistake on this story is that I jumped ahead to write another scene and now 'backtracking' is a bitch. I must engrave on my gray matter: always write from beginning to end!

As for cookies, I had to pick something kinda different because most of my co-workers are bringing all sorts of exotic type stuff and a plain ol' chocolate chip (much as I'd prefer them!) just wouldn't do. Wish me luck!

Merry Almost Xmas!

Hi skys! Yeah, I've been mostly absent from LJ. Can't even say why really; probably malaise, maybe even a touch of depression. Anyway, while the holidays are usually the time when most people get even MORE depressed, I kinda brighten up. I'm very contrary that way.

Sorry to hear that work is such an anvil for you. That's awful, given all the hours of our lives that we have to give up to it. I really hope it gets better for you.

I also wish you'd write something for the "Helen" (Alex) zine. :)
