it's called Dollar Tree
every thing in it used to be $1 TREASURES!
especially glasses and dishes

during the pandemic they had supply problems
most of the stuff is from China
so the price went up to $1.25

yesterday i got:
stuffed Christmas figure - penguin as Santa
exotic silver and transparent flower in plastic globe that's supposedly battery lit
just the right size white candle smelling of vanilla
a long roll of bright wrapping paper
all for $5

now that's happy Christmas shopping : )

Stewartville had a Family Dollar store that nearly nothing was $1.
Then it closed a year or so ago, and then it was remodeled and reopened as a Family Dollar/Dollar Tree, I think.
Then a couple of weeks back I stopped out to the local grocery store and next door to them is a brand new building that is either a replacement for the other building or it's another "Dollar" type store. :o

our beloved County Seat has Dollar General / FamilyDollar and Dollar Tree in walking distance

Family D and D Tree are the same company
they are taking one building - probably cheaper but what costs what is confusing

here Dollar G sprouted in too many places in the county
and added a Market store
they only looked at the map
there isn't the population to support that many
the Market store is particularly weird
there a produce stand almost next to it
and they have been expanding lol
