Last evening when I had Maggie out the Western horizon was a beautiful bold dark pink. :)

Yesterday I watched the live-stream of the winter solstice sunrise at Newgrange in Ireland. There was some cloud, so it wasn't as spectacular as it can be in some years, but the cameras inside the tomb did show the light shining through the hole above the door lintel. It was rather moving, even watching on YouTube.

Meanwhile here we didn't see the sun all day, due to cloud.
