So,
swordznsorcery pointed me in the direction of a plot generator.
Alice Greenway, the Wizard
A Fantasy Novel
by Sealgirl
In a cave there lived a squidgy, enchanted wizard named Alice Greenway. Not a spotty bendy, giant cave, filled with coins and a wide smell, nor yet a greasy, scheming, pretty cave with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a wizard-cave, and that means warmth.
One day, after a troubling visit from the gremlin Chad Gloop, Alice leaves her cave and sets out in search of three frosty toast. A quest undertaken in the company of witches, giants and tender wizards.
In the search for the gremlin-guarded toast, Alice Greenway surprises even herself with her kindness and skill as a teacher.
During her travels, Alice rescues a map, an heirloom belonging to Chad. But when Chad refuses to try rampaging, their friendship is over.
However, Chad is wounded at the Battle of Three Armies and the two reconcile just before Alice engages in some serious rampaging.
Alice accepts one of the three frosty toast and returns home to her cave a very wealthy wizard.
And then I tried SF...
Galactic Sizzling Paperweight Wars
A Science Fiction Plot
by Sealgirl
A long, long time ago in a sizzling, sizzling galaxy...
After leaving the sweltering planet Ocampa, a group of aliens fly toward a distant speck. The speck gradually resolves into a red, space abbey.
Civil war strikes the galaxy, which is ruled by Luke Fish, a giant imp capable of vandalism and even assassination.
Terrified, a curvaceous zombie known as Simon Blacksmith flees the Empire, with his protector, Steve Connor.
They head for Skegness on the planet Abydos. When they finally arrive, a fight breaks out. Connor uses his sizzling paperweight to defend Simon.
Connor and Zombie Simon decide it's time to leave Abydos and steal a space rocket to shoot their way out.
They encounter a tribe of old folk. Connor is attacked and the zombie is captured by the old folk and taken back to Skegness.
Connor must fight to save Zombie Simon but when he accidentally unearths a crowded gun, the entire future of the sizzling, sweltering galaxy is at stake.
I think we all need a sizzling paperweight. I know I do!
Finally, I tried the dystopian version:
