My apologies for the sudden leaving and locking the doors. I have left the church in what I consider excellent stewardship and I hope that he'll contact you soon to inform you of his intents.

I do apologize for my need to leave; but as far as it goes, I'm needed in my world. How I came to realize how I could leave is a secret I must hold to me, but suffice to say that I'm necessary at home, and no longer necessary here.
I love you with all my heart. Never forget about me, because rest assured that I will forever remember you. I wish I could stay - I wish I could protect you forever - but I can no longer neglect my duties at home.
I have in the rectory a package of tea and several sets that you may enjoy. Please take full advantage of them.

I trust that you will continue your studies. I am sorry that we weren't able to put on your nativity play, but I know that the new administrators of the church will be more than happy to continue to help you, if you wish.

I am very sorry for leaving you with such a heavy burden. I know you are not Christian, nor do you particularly care for the Church. But you were my first friend here, and I know you are a good man. I know you will care strongly for it if I ask you to, and I am asking now.
The Church needs someone who will not get involved in City politics. Do not let the members of the clergy sway you into a false sense of security and have you surrender the key. All you must do is open the Church in the morning and seal it at night, and take care of any pressing matters over it's care.
Particularly do not allow Rosiel to know you have it. I fear that he will try and force your hand.
