Due to erroneous information, it appears that the incoming badgers were born in March, not 3 weeks ago (I guess the person meant 3 months ago), so they will be too big and ferocious at this age to handle and hand-raise. Oh well. At least there will be badgers of  sorts about even though we cannot pet them. I cry inside though, as I was looking ( Read more... )

awww! At least you do have badgers - they are cool! I'm sorry they are not hold-able though.

Haha! The young kid thing? I know what you mean. The bad news is, it only gets worse... ;)

Worse- like I'll be driving along and be passed by a driver who looks like they're REALLY not old enough to drive, then realize that I looked like that too back in the day... D'oh!

Maybe it's kind of like the midle aged guys who read playboy (Emphasis on the "read" part), and then find that the centerfold is the exact same age as their daughter?

I don't know if you get tired of hearing this, Jolene & Jesse, but we miss you and wish we could share all your adventures. I don't know anybody else who gets close to such interesting animals, and it's so neat to hear your experiences and military adventures.

I cannot wait to see you both this winter. (Sooner, if Josh and I manage to win the lottery and accomplish our unspoken goal of driving a team of 12 black horses cross-country)

Summation:
LERVE!!!!

Lerve and Wuv all over the place! We never tire of that, believe you us. We miss you guys too and nothing would be more fun than to be able to go to these places as a group. LJ is the closest we can get, thus all the photo posts/etc. At least we have that.

Winter visit will equal tons of fun, we can't wait to see you and Josh again either. The 12-horse team would be welcome in our garage if you get here before then. There is also a horse stable on base (w/pasture) so it's almost like you have to do that now...

I don't know which would be worse- if she originally had a normal spelled name and decided to add another C to make herself cool, or if her mom named her that in the first place and she still likes it.

I think her mom did it to her (the name spelling). She said that sometimes in school the teacher would read her name off as "Jessi-Kah-ka", so I don't think she likes it too much. Poor kid...
