I'm starting to think that there's a tipped balance here. Like there was back there.

People saying that they'll keep things safe, i'm not saying that they don't try because i'm sure they do but... It just seems like an empty promise in a place like this, where anything and everything could happen and slip past those things.

Trying to keep an empty promise?

In this place, a place where things seem to always harm someone in some way be it mentally or physically, can you really promise to keep people safe?

I know how hard it is to protect people. Are you really protecting people by getting angry at someone stating their thoughts? ...I said that you're trying but i'm hardly going to say that all faith of protection can be placed in you when there's the fact that something always seems to get through. It's the nature of this place.

Never seems to work out. I suspect this place is the same, wrong as all the others.

You're only starting to think that? A handful of people stuck with gods and what seems like an endless number of monsters... How can there ever be balance in that kind of situation?

Anyway, the Task Force has always held on to empty promises. I don't know if they think it's for the good of this world or if they're only trying to make themselves feel better... And it's not even that their job is impossible, so much as they keep going about it the wrong way. At this point, maybe newcomers should be warned not to rely on them.

They could do better. Their hearts may be in the right place, but the system they rely on... It's never worked. People just keep getting killed.
