in the end, tho, this 'gimmick' won't help the club because, in the end, the same names will appear on the flyer that have already been on the flyer and doesn't bring 'the heads' -- meaning, a lot of heads.
they need to invest in headliners, which i know is saying a lot now b-c i've a feeling the club is on the outs money-wise...
Well, the night they are doing this event is at the beginning of a week that they are having a headliner there. So, trying to get people to go out to any EDM club with headliner after headliner ain't gonna work because we be broke bitches.
It is a DJ lottery, but it's not meant to use anybody, if that's what you're getting at.
I'm not saying that at all. That phrase just immediately came to mind.
Let's face it, nobody is getting paid right now, not even the people who've been DJing since Moby Dick was a minnow.
I appreciate the fact that they're trying to do something to give back to the DJs, but this method of doing so just seems odd. I'm of the opinion that if you want to pay your DJs, simply pay your DJs, and if you can't afford to pay all of your DJs, pay the ones that are worth it.
i would have thought they would do this for people who normally have NOT played the club and would like to.
they really need to just find drug dealers willing to drop money for actual major headliners (across the spectrum) as opposed to these piddly parties which aren't bringing in anybody.
