My boy's big morning.....

We both woke up at 5:00am this morning, and for just a little while, sat quietly together in the big chair in my office. I have worked fom my home studio ever since he was born, and we have been together all day, every day for the last five years. He knows that things are changing.

When I put him to bed last night, we lay there and talked excitedly

Parenting is sad and beautiful and wonderful and joyous. I wouldn't give it up for anything. Enjoy all of it, I know I do.

Aww... my eyes have just welled up with tears. I remember you two from years ago... I was so taken with him. I adored both of you so much. I still think of you all (the girls too) very often. Tell them all I'm so proud of them, will you? I know it probably won't carry much weight, but I DO feel a great pride in what wonderful people my old friend has brought up. I hope today is a day full of wonder, comfort, smile and adventures for Sam.
