Well, the past couple days have been both good and bad. I came home from my grandparents early, so I could try to hang out with Ashley Friday, but she decided to turn her phone off all day, so I've been kinda pissed about that. But Brad and Mishelle came and rescued me from boredom after a while, and we just went over to Mishelle's to watch a movie, so at least she didn't make me waste it. While we were over there, Brad put the idea back in my head that we should have our usual "Sean's last night get-together" which just basically involves us getting drunk and doing something safe yet somehow stupid, which we did. Anyways, Saturday I tried calling her a few times to invite her to come over, but it just left me more confused than before. The first time, she picked up, but you know the sound it makes when the person on the other line drops their phone on the floor? It did that, for about 20 seconds, and i think I heard her talking in there somewhere, and then it hung up. I tried again a few minutes later, but it hung up right after she picked up. I don't know if it was the phone screwing up, or her just chickening out on me, or what. I just basically spent the day sitting at home playing my mp3 player through the stereo, but I felt bad. That made it the second time in 2 days that I had avoided going to a family thing only to be stood up by her. My mom and sister went to get her senior pics, and then visiting family nearby. It would have been nice to go to with them. I could tell that my mom was really disappointed that I didn't go with them, which certainly didn't help any. Anyways, Mishelle came over after she got out of work for our get together later that night, and really made me wonder if Ashley is really worth it, like she just keeps screwing with my head. I mean, after the stuff that she talked about wanting from me in the long run, it's really not a good sign to stand me up for a week straight when we're supposed to talk this through. Hell, Mishelle wanted to drive over to Ashley's house to figure out what the hell was going on, too. I appeased her appetite for destruction with just calling Ashley again, only to find her phone was off. Big surprise there. Anyways, enough with the fucking mopey shit. Brad got there a little while later, we went to feed Travis' animals (who's ever heard of an alligator that won't eat a damn mouse? that thing swam around the tub for like 10 minutes before we fished it out and gave it to to the cat), we got a big ass pizza, and the drinking soon commenced once Mom got back and would go buy it for us. I was drinking my usual Mike's Hard Lemonade, Erin was stealing them from me, Brad was doing Smirnoff Triple Black, and in a surprise event we even talked Mishelle into having a fruity strawberry daquiri wine cooler. Surprised the hell out of me. I won Brad and my usual drinking contest, though he says it was because his was carbonated and mine wasn't. All I know is after he had done 3 of them, he ran outside and gave the highest velocity belch in the history of mankind. It made me proud. We just played cards for a while, and then drunkenly called Keifer and made him and his girlfriend come, though we knew they wouldn't drink with us, which was fine. He just set up his xbox in the living room, and we got to do drunk driving the safe way on there. He got out of there pretty quick, though, I guess his girlfriend had to be home at a decent hour. Mishelle left a little while afterwards, and promptly forgot most of what she brought. Oh well, she'll get it eventually. The three of us just kinda screwed around on the guitar for a while until Brad passed out, so we decided to go to bed. The final drinking count was as follows. Mishelle only ended up sipping away on that one wine cooler, Brad and Erin tied (yet again) at 6 (Erin - 5 MHL, 1 Wine cooler, Brad - a 6 pack of Smirnoff), and I won yet again with 7 Mike's, 2 wine coolers, a shot of Rum, and a rum and coke to finish the night, beating my old record of 8 MHL's and a double shot of rum. Yeah, i'm sure that everyone wanted me to go into that much detail with all of that. We woke up today, and all that was left was for me to get my stuff ready, and come back up here. We got the special treat of Mom's what the fuck mashed potato cake patty things for breakfast, said goodbye to Brad, and then we were off to the drive to come back up here. I rode with a guy that lives in Berrien Springs, and it turned out pretty good. I only ended up spending less than $25 on the whole trip, because his car gets wicked awesome gas mileage. Buchanan to Iron Mountain in 1 tank, suck on that, bitches! I'm pretty sure that I'm going to drive back down with him at Christmas, so we'll see about that. He drove pretty good, we made it in 8 and a half hours of driving time, which is really good. The only problem was the music, because he had one of those mp3 cd's, that holds a huge amount of music, almost all of which sounded the same, and sucked to listen to for such long periods. 9 hours of Paul Simon, Jimmy Buffet, and the Beach Boys, among others. Jesus H. Christ, when did the Beach Boys write so many goddamn songs? We had to have listened to them all the way from Iron Mountain to here. And here I am, with no cd's and the politeness to not get my mp3 player out. We're definitely going to have to work that out better on future trips. Ok, I've been writing this for over an hour, so I might as well end it. Here I sit, taking my pills with a can of Wild Cherry Pepsi that's been flattening on my desk for over a week because i'm too lazy to go get a drink of water. Yum yum yummers. Damn, it's 2 am, time for bed. Of course that means it's time for my roommate to find something to eat and start watching another one of those cliche' mandatory melancholy teen years bullshit movies. I think it's Donny Darko or something like that. Sorry this was so damn long, I'm sure that nobody's still reading anyways. Peace out fools
